Founded in 1835, Melbourne is now the biggest city in Victoria, Australia. Located on the south coast of the country on a huge natural harbour, Melbourne is an economic and cultural capital and often ranks as one of the most liveable cities in the world.

Melbourne is built on a grid system, with lanes and arcades criss crossing the main roads. It’s in these hidden streets that the real Melbourne hides. Wander around to find hidden cafes, trendy bars, fantastic restaurants and uber cool street art. Alternatively head out to the suburbs for a slice of typical Aussie good life. Stroll along the turn of the century pier at St Kilda before hitting the beaches.

As well as a cultural hub, Melbourne is a great city for the sports fan. The city hosts the opening race of the Formula 1 season as well as the Australian Open Tennis tournament. There’s also the cricket ground which regularly holds major international games and the Aussie Rules Football League. Nine football teams play in Melbourne and the Grand FInal is always held in the city.
