Nestled between the wild waves of the Southern Atlantic and the impressive heights of Table Mountain, Cape Town in South Africa is a perfect mix of city and nature.

Towering over the city, Table Mountain is a must-see for every Cape Town visitor. Preserved as a National Park, the easiest way to take in the spectacular views is by taking the cable car up to the top. Savour a glass of local wine in the cafe, or connect on a deeper level with a mountaintop yoga lesson. Also in the National Park area, there’s several beaches to explore, lots of hikes for all abilities and plenty of wildlife to spot including a penguin colony.

Head down to the waterfront for some touristy but fun markets, cafes, bars and museums. Boat trips heading to Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was held prisoner for several years also depart from this part of town.
