Arguably the heart of western civilisation, Rome in Italy has been a major city for almost 3000 years. Discover ancient ruins, incredible art collections and some of the finest food Italy has to offer all in one place.

The ancient buildings of Rome are some of the most impressive structures in Western history. Imagine a gladiator fight inside the Colosseum or wonder at the architectural skills used to build the dome of the Pantheon. It’s the largest concrete dome ever built and has been standing since 125AD.

No visit to Italy would be complete without sampling the local food. Rome is famous for its cappuccinos which are usually drunk at breakfast. Pizza in Rome is different from what you might expect. It’s very thin and crispy with almost no rim, and often served “bianco” with bechamel instead of tomato sauce.
