DAILY TRAVEL INSPIRATION: Toronto
Toronto is Canada’s biggest city by population and a great city for visitors to explore. Sitting on the shores of Lake Ontario it covers over 7000 square kilometers and is home to a diverse population, earning it the nickname of the “New York” of Canada.
Toronto is a great destination for sports fans. Watch the Maple Leaves play or visit the Ice Hockey Hall of Fame to experience Canada’s national sport. If hockey isn’t your thing then head to the Rogers Center to see the Blue Jays playing baseball. The arena also hosts regular concerts, funfairs and monster truck rallies.
The most iconic attraction in Toronto is the CN Tower. It’s the tallest freestanding structure in North America at over 550metres high. The observation deck offers spectacular views over Toronto and Lake Ontario and has a section with a glass floor if you are feeling brave. If that’s not enough adrenaline for you then book on an Edge Walk. This is the highest external walk on a building in the world. Take a stroll on the gantry at 356 meters up with nothing but a safety rope between you and the view.
